Ambassador Brendon Cremer

WILDLIFE CONSERVATIONIST AND PHOTOGRAPHER

Brendon Cremer was born and raised in Zimbabwe where he was exposed to wildlife and the outdoors form a young age, he could hardly be kept in doors, nature had a big place in his heart and life from a very young age. Brendon utilized every opportunity and free time to be in the bush, he worked in the Kariba area and in Matusadona national park during his holidays, absorbing information and knowledge of wildlife and nature.

After Brendon completed his schooling he went to work full time in the matusadona national park where he studied all aspects of wildlife and the African bush, from plants to insects, birds and mammals, here he qualified as a professional guide one of the most highly revered guiding qualifications in the world. Brendon worked for a company that specialized in walking trails in the matusadona national park focusing on Black Rhino and Lion. Tracking and stalking big game and learning animal behavior was a big aspect of his day-to-day activities. After spending a few years guiding in some well known areas and reserves in Zimbabwe such as mana pools national park, lower Zambezi and Hwange national parks as well as various areas in Zambia and Botswana, Brendon eventually settled in Victoria falls where he worked in the kazangula area along the Upper Zambezi and in chobe national park, conducting big game walking trails as well as birding and fishing safaris. During these years of living in some of Africas most pristine wildlife areas Brendon started his photographic obsession, never wasting any opportunity to be out photographing.

On the onset of political strife and the collapse of the Zimbabwean economy Brendon returned to his families native land South Africa. Brendon went to work as a Lodge manager in the world renowned sabi sand game reserve, here he spent 4 years in the game reserve capturing on camera everything the reserve has to offer, but paid special and close attention to the big cats of the reserve. Brendon has an extensive knowledge and understanding of big cats, their habits, and habitats and is one of Brendon’s big passions.

Today Brendon is a professional wildlife photographer and guide. Brendon Guides and hosts’ photographic safaris, workshops and photo tours around Southern and East Africa. With Brendon’s deep respect and understanding for Africa, its wildlife and through his profound knowledge gained over more than 15 years of experience in the African wilderness, Brendon’s guests will not only enhance their photographic skills and vision, but also gain a lifelong admiration for Africa’s wildlife and culture.
