DOFE VOLUNTEER
Al discovered his love of wild places during his time with the RAF Mountain Rescue Service in the Highlands of Scotland. Fortunate enough to climb, ski, and journey throughout Europe, the Himalayas and Alaska, Al is equally as content with a hill top bivvy bag, wild swim, or an ice route on Ben Nevis.
When not piloting Remote Operated Vehicles at sea, Al spends his time amongst the mountains, crags and waters of Scotland.
Currently, Al is a volunteer for his local DofE group where he enthusiastically passes on the basic skills required for the next generation of adventurers.
